Methodology.

How Startupniti reports, fact-checks, cites sources, and corrects errors.

Sourcing.

Every Startupniti article cites the primary source(s) it draws from. Citations appear in the right rail of every article page. Single-source pieces are labelled as such. Multi-source pieces require at least two independent reports before we publish a corroborated story.

Our source pool is restricted to outlets we have evaluated for editorial standards — trade press, official filings (SEBI, MCA, NSE/BSE, RBI), wire services, and named-author bylines at established publications. We do not aggregate from anonymous channels, rumour boards, or paid placements.

Fact extraction.

We extract facts — numbers, names, dates, quotes, regulator filings — strictly from cited source material. We do not infer motives, project outcomes, or characterise sentiment unless those judgments are themselves attributed to a named speaker in the source.

Editorial voice.

Our reporters write under bylines (Aarav Mehta, Anjali Krishnan, Kavya Iyer, and others). Each writes within a defined beat — funding, IPOs, founder moves, AI launches, policy. Voice is restrained and number-led. Marketing language ("revolutionary", "game-changing", "stellar") and weasel phrases ("industry observers", "reportedly", "sources say") are explicitly banned from publication.

Corrections.

If a published article contains a factual error, we retract or correct it. Notable corrections are catalogued at /corrections. To report an error, write to the corrections desk.

Independence.

Startupniti accepts no third-party advertising on editorial pages. Sponsored content lives at /brand-voice and is clearly labelled as such, separated from the editorial product. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage.

Conflicts.

We disclose material conflicts of interest at the article level where relevant. The publication has no equity in companies covered in editorial articles.
